About Maurice

Maurice provides administrative and operational support to the Razing the Bar team. Maurice fell in love with volunteer work as a child after connecting with his peers and community members through local organizations like the Mattie Rhodes Center and Christmas in October.

Knowing firsthand how impactful spending his free time helping someone else along their path, he’s worked in the nonprofit community since he began tutoring and conflict mediating with his younger schoolmates in the 4th grade. Maurice has since volunteered at various organizations across the country with a personal mission to “lift as he climbs”, a personal mantra he adopted as a Bonner Scholars program participant at Morehouse College.

Maurice is a native of Kansas City, Missouri who now lives in the Bay Area, where he uses his MBA and JD to help small businesses and entrepreneurs develop businesses around their ideas and prototypes. He loves movies, dogs, people, and that one time every year when he can wear his Kansas City Chiefs regalia to an Oakland Raiders game.
